Strikingly sharp satellite images of cities, landscapes and continents
This atlas opens up a new view of the Earth. The unique concept combines precise cartography with satellite images of the highest quality. The familiar cartographic representation of the Earth and its continents is immediately followed by the corresponding satellite image on exactly the same scale (1:85 million or 1:30 million). In this way, the image visualises the map and the map explains the image.
The maps of individual countries on a scale of 1:4.5 million alternate with over 100 fascinating images of selected cities and landscapes from a space perspective.
Informative accompanying texts and additional photos explain the large-format panoramas. This work is thus a world atlas and coffee-table book in one: comprehensive, systematic and a feast for the eyes on every page.
