The column is also a classic element dating back to ancient times , combining functionality and decorative standards. Designer Tom Torrens designed the metal base to be reminiscent of classical antiquity, yet still bridge the gap to modern living. History, architecture and culture come together in a unique way with this 40 cm globe. The unlit map is kept in an antique style to blend in with the overall design. The 120 cm high floor globe is completed by a tactile relief.
