My items purchased from Omegon arrived two days, and this evening I was able to look through my Omegon 2.1x42 binoculars for the first time.

I can't express my pleasure of seeing what I have been missing for over 30 years. This purchase has motivated me to reintroducing myself to enjoying the night sky.

I have spent many hours in the middle of Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans viewing the stars while in the Navy. These new star field observing binoculars enhanced my viewing pleasure this evening to overcome the local light pollution.

Now to move forward with purchasing a new telescope (before I lose my night vision) and start a new hobby... astrophotography.

EXCEPTIONAL

This Binocular fits a need I wanted 50 years ago. You see the night sky with your eyes, normal binoculars, and telescopes. I have used instruments up to 17.5 inches in diameter. I love my 10 and 5 inch catadioptric instruments, as well as my Coulter CT100 (14X100mm).... BUT, this 2.1X42mm is unique....it bridges the gap between your eyes and other instruments...
In looking at the quality of the instrument, yes there is some color fringing, negligible, while viewing a full moon....but otherwise...any defects are only in your eyes.. No lens at minimum magnification produces a totally color free image, but, when looking at the nearly full moon...this product was no less corrected than any other well made lenses.....THIS IS A GREAT INSTRUMENT FOR ALL THOSE WHO LOVE SKY GAZING...
