The DUO ALBA map image shines with its combination of modern style and politically up-to-date map image. This new design appears unlit in various shades of grey; when lit, the sea changes to a pleasant shade of blue. The map image contains an unrivalled wealth of up-to-date information. When unlit, you see the globe politically with ocean relief. When lit, the physical image becomes visible. The map image is laminated by hand in the traditional manner.

The COLUMBUS globes in the Professional Line are not only masterpieces of precise cartography, but also of creative craftsmanship - a successful collaboration between specialists in the fields of cartography, glass art and design. The glassblowers play a special role here: the crystal glass globes that characterise all models in this line are mouth-blown and, with diameters of 34 cm, 40 cm and an impressive 51 cm, achieve a map scale that is otherwise only found in large atlases.
