The children's globe Our Earth is a special globe for our little ones – manufactured with sustainability in mind and featuring a cheerful design. The acrylic glass globe is handmade and illuminated – a particularly high-quality globe for children's rooms, just as you would expect from Columbus.
The colourful children's map is laminated by hand onto a high-quality acrylic glass sphere. The special waterproof paper used is highly resistant to ageing and is even suitable for direct contact with food. The fine print grid ensures that even the smallest letters and symbols remain crystal clear and easily recognisable, and that the colours remain consistent around the entire globe. The hand-laminated globe is protected from knocks and scratches by a low-odour varnish that is suitable for children's toys. Inside the sphere is a replaceable, energy-saving LED filament lamp that keeps the globe lit around the clock. The power cord with an additional fabric sheath ensures an attractive design and a pleasant feel. The entire production takes place at the COLUMBUS Globe Manufactory in Krauchenwies, Upper Swabia.
The steadfast detail: a globe needs a firm hold so that it can unfold its full effect. The "Our Earth" globe rests on a solid beech wood base and rotates in a glass fibre reinforced plastic holder in a satin silver-grey colour.
The animals, plants and buildings printed on the globe invite you to discover the world with the optional explorer pen: how big is a country, how high are the mountains, what is hidden behind buildings, do you know a fairy tale from Algeria, can you recognise the national anthem of Sweden?
